Staff at Airedale Academy have got into the spirit of our Remembrance 100 activities this week by arriving at school today in historical costume.

Mrs Gale, Mr Miller and Mrs Cox dressed up to represent key figures in historic conflicts as part of the final day in our week of remembrance.

During the week, students have been looking at topics associated with conflict, remembrance, and WW1 in particular, in lessons and assemblies.

Today's activities will include a service at the James Backhouse memorial, where we remember all those who have died in conflict, and this afternoon we will be welcoming some local pensioners to school for an afternoon tea and performance.
