Seven Year 11 students visited the Escapologist in Xscape during half-term to take on our staff and four ex-students in a ‘staff vs students’ showdown. The seven Year 11 students ventured into an arctic-themed room called ‘Frozen in Time’ and had one hour to solve all the puzzles in order to escape. The students blitzed through the puzzles to finish in 40 minutes and 3 seconds, leaving an amazing 19 minutes and 57 seconds on the clock. The staff and ex-students, on the other-hand, entered an MI5 secret agent room called ‘Secret Service: Winter Fall’ and had to eliminate suspects to escape. The staff finished two minutes later in a very respectable 42 minutes and 13 seconds. The game masters commented that both teams worked well and communicated fantastically with each other. The students will be looking for a similar result again in December, when the game rooms will be reversed so watch this space!
