Uniform

Airedale Academy believes that students should come to the Academy smartly dressed and wearing the uniform specified. We believe that our uniform promotes pride in their appearance for students and goes a long way in helping the discipline and reputation of the Academy.

We appreciate that sometimes students like to push the boundaries, so we have produced some guidance for parents which gives more detail about the types of item which will or will not comply with our uniform requirements along with information about our rules on make-up and jewellery.

Uniform Policy >

Items of uniform (other than the skirt) which are required to carry the school logo can be purchased from Better and Bright in Castleford Market Hall or via their website on this link or, alternatively, from CWS Schoolwear (CWS Schoolwear) .  The academy skirt can be purchased on this link ; please register for an account on the SPT Uniforms website and then you will be able to purchase the skirt. Skirts can only be purchased via SPT Uniforms.

Items not bearing the logo can be purchased from any supplier, but must comply with the uniform requirements. If you are at all unsure whether an item of clothing will be considered acceptable, please feel free to call into school before you remove any labels and we will check it for you.

In addition to the items of clothing which make up the uniform, students are also expected to bring to school the following items:

  • A bag that can carry books, equipment, PE kit, etc
  • All appropriate classroom equipment (pen, pencil, ruler, eraser)
  • Their student planner
